How can I make sure the audio bitrate remains at 320kbps when extracting from a 4K WMV video?
I have high-production 4K video recordings in WMV with studio dialogue and master soundtracks. When extracting to OPUS, does UConvert compress the audio stream or does it preserve the full 320kbps acoustic range without clipping high frequencies?
When extracting audio from WMV to OPUS, UConvert strips the video elementary stream without re-quantizing audio below your requested quality ceiling. For OPUS conversions, our transcode engine defaults to 320 kbps Constant Bitrate (CBR) with joint-stereo frequency preservation up to 20 kHz. If your source video has 24-bit studio audio, you can also convert directly to uncompressed WAV or FLAC for bit-for-bit mathematical audio perfection with zero loss.
- •Defaults to high-fidelity 320 kbps CBR encoding profile
- •Preserves full 48 kHz / 24-bit audio frequency range without downsampling
- •No volume normalization or psychoacoustic clipping applied to the master stream
